Prodigal Saxophonist Returns to Chamber Project St. Louis; Adrianne Honnold Comes Home

Hearing the Architecture of Home

For two nights at The Chapel we welcome back founding member, saxophonist Adrianne Honnold for this concert featuring a world premiere inspired by the Gateway Arch by local composer Zachary Cairns. The music of Mozart exemplifies the best architecture sound has ever seen. Caroline Shaw expresses the experience of an ancient sanctuary and Andrew Norman is inspired by Frank Lloyd Wright and more.

Founding member, saxophonist Adrianne Honnold returns!

Classical music with a saxophone? YES!

When we began this adventure 10 years ago, we were one of the very few chamber ensembles in the WORLD to include the saxophone. Sadly for us, Adrianne moved to Belgium two years ago (her husband is stationed with the NATO Jazz Orchestra at the NATO Headquarters in Mons, Belgium). But she’s coming back to be a part of our 10th Season to premiere a new work titled Passing Through by local composer Zac Cairns and to perform one of our favorite chamber works with saxophone from years ago, Gods on the Ceiling.

We are so excited to have her back as part of our 10th Anniversary Season that we’ve planned two nights at the ever popular The Chapel venue so everyone would have a chance to say hello!
